The roasted marshmallow activity at the hotel's barbecue facilities was a delightful treat! It felt like I was a kid again, toasting marshmallows by the fire, creating gooey and delicious s'mores. The cozy seating area added to the charm, making it a memorable experience.
Dogs barking occasionally disrupted the peaceful atmosphere.

I absolutely loved my 3-night stay at this peaceful rural retreat. the Stables exceeded my expectations, with tastefully decorated farmhouse interiors that made me feel at home instantly. the hot tub was a true godsend after long walks in the stunning Welsh countryside, offering breathtaking views of the rolling hills. the kitchen facilities were top-notch, making it easy to cook delicious meals. the location was perfect, surrounded by wildlife and with plenty of walking trails nearby. I can't wait to return and explore more of the beautiful countryside, such as the Three Castles walk. Cons: Could not be improved in any way. 👍.

The rooms at The Stables in Monmouth are cozy and inviting, with a nice seating area and a flat-screen TV that made me feel right at home. The private bathrooms with showers were clean and convenient. I loved the added bonus of having a toaster and kitchenware in the double room, making it perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast. The free toiletries were a nice touch, making me feel pampered during my stay. the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing a pleasant stay.
Personally, I found that having a fireplace in the double room wasn't really necessary for my stay, but I can see how others might enjoy it.

We got excellent value for our money at The Stables. The room was fantastic, with a comfortable bed and beautiful views of the Welsh countryside. The location was perfect for peaceful walks and the hot tub was a wonderful bonus. The staff, including the host and his family, were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. We even had fluffy towels and gowns provided for extra comfort.
The breakfast offerings could have been improved with the addition of a pizza cutter.

The rooms at The Stables are super cozy with a nice seating area and a flat-screen TV. They even have a fireplace in some rooms, which gives off a warm and homely vibe. The bed linen is clean and comfy, and the free toiletries are a nice touch.
Personally, I found the toaster in the double room a bit unnecessary. But hey, some people might love making toast on vacation!

The hot tub was a godsend after long walks and the views of the rolling hills were stunning. The farmhouse decor made us feel at home and the log burner kept us cozy. The kitchen facilities were good and we enjoyed cooking. The Sunday roast at a nearby restaurant was delicious.
The coffee machine was not cleaned out from previous use and there were no instructions for it. It would have been nice to have TV channels, although Netflix was available.
